Lawson Software Specialist
Member owned and Member Directed Cooperative is seeking a Lawson Software Engineer.
In this role, you will be responsible for Lawson system implementations, management, and system level support for the shared services division. You will create project estimates and proposals based upon customers' business requirements and present project planning documents to enterprise management for approval. You will also monitor the project team and reports status of Lawson system implementations and post-implementation support to company management. You will coordinate detailed system analysis for customers and develop and implement creative solutions to resolve business process problems. There is also support of previously implemented Lawson applications.
To be successful; you should possess most of the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Business
- 5
years proven track record of success with Lawson system applications (Lawson systems application programming, technical leadership and project management utilizing a proven methodology). - In-depth technical knowledge of applicable Lawson system software, platforms and components such as:
Client Server technology, UNIX OS, Windows OS, Lawson 4GL, Lawson Environment Tools, Lawson Security, Lawson Process Flow, Lawson Design Studio, Lawson Portal, Cobol, SQL, Java, J2EE, WepSphere, Tivoli, Oracle, BSI. - Experience in creating and presenting project-planning documents to customer and IT director level management.
- Ability to manage large Lawson system implementations on a daily basis and be able to communicate issues to upper management (a track record of designing, developing and implementing high quality modifications, interfaces, conversions and business process changes for Lawson systems).
- Ability to support a technology organization in a complex, matrixed and highly customer-focused environment that has a practical approach to the application of technology to the business.
- Experience transitioning Legacy transaction systems to web-enabled platforms.
- Experience with business to technology analytical skills, and process analysis.
- Experience with third party relationships.
- Experienced in prior projects including Lawson systems, infrastructure upgrade and conversant with current technologies.
